Wish the sound worked!
Very annoying pop up ads promoting other apps. Some noticeable bugs and otherwise pretty ordinary...
Beautiful clear pictures plus sooo customizable! Select only some word sets i.e. only cvc (consonant, vowel, consonant) with the vowel "a". Like all the Grasshopper Apps you can modify a ton of settings including the list of words. We love adding our own pictures so the kids learn to spell common items in the their world. All of this in a free app is amazing!! The pop up is only only on the opening screen and is just for other great apps by this company. no problem with our sound but just contact them if I have an issue, their customer support is fast!
Great potential but too many glitches. The letters are often over top of each other and are hard to pull to their spot. Too difficult for a young child but easy for someone too old to be worried about three letter words. If the glitches were fixed I would love it. Nice pictures, great voice, and great concept! Get tech. on it!!!!
Good features and customizable. Simple enough for young kids. Would be nice to have a feature for hearing letter sound instead of just letter name. Overall a good app.
Just hoping this stops that annoying message at the beginning
Very happy to have an interactive spelling activity to break up the paperwork!
Love this app!
Think this is great 2 yr. old loves putting words together.
I was going to buy my four year old a word whammer I think this is fun, encouraging and I added in my own words and pictures.
This program works pretty well for ESL students, but I still wish it had a manual mode. My kindergarten and nursery school kids need more time for translation and re-reading the word after they understand what theyre reading. Its my policy to not give out "perfect" grades for any work, because everything (including me) can by improved. This program right now deserves 4 stars at least. For the price, its great as is.
As always - a very thorough realization of a very simple yet fruitful idea. Its fun and - its already a job for a toddler: not just to point, but to search and move and think. The only pit Ive faced was: in My first words there was a flashcard Taxi - the same picture is called in Speller a Cab - my son refuses to agree :) For example, a sitting baby in Speller is also Sit - heres no problem, but Cab causes discussions... Nevertheless - use the Little Speller to give your toddler his first job and his great fun! :)
In my opinion you should remove the correct word and let the kids try to form the word choosing the letters!
This app is easy for my nephew to use and still allows him to practice his letters as he learns to spell.
Even my students with intellectual disabilities can learn to spell! Customizable...awesome!
This app is great! My daughter loves it, and never wants to put it down. She is not only learning to spell but to read also!
This is great for my kindergartner who is learning to read. I would give it five stars if it did letter sounds to help learn to sound out words. Great for free though n
Very customizable Crisp graphical interface Tested great with my 2+ LO Bug: some letter display appeared to be stacked out of order Suggestion: provide option to sound off the phonic
Love it! The customization feature makes it superb!
